How does Mojio obtain vehicle recall data? To answer that question, we would need to list three things:
- Mojio receives recall data for any vehicle in the US via the vehicle's VIN number which is the vehicle's unique identifier.
- We receive VIN information via the OBD device that customers plug into their vehicles.
- Afterwards, we obtain recall information from a third party provider that is not in our platform in accordance with the VIN.
- Mojio is then able to provide recall information based on that particular vehicle's make, model, type and year.
Recall information does not scale down to each individual car and the information displayed on any Mojio sourced software is for informational purposes only. Customers are advised to double check whether the recall information applies to their particular vehicle with their vehicle manufacturer or local vehicle dealership.
