Purpose
This article describes how to physically reset the OBD-II device.
Audience
The intended audience is carrier agents assisting customers who need to reset the OBD-II devices.
Details
End-users can reset the OBD-II device to the factory default setting. Before an end-user resets the device, it is important to be aware and note the below
- Any custom settings like Wireless Hotspot name and password will be lost. If an end-user wants to use the same after the reset, they should take a note of them before doing the reset, and then restore them afterward
- Any currently connected Wi-Fi devices will lose access and will have to be reconnected after the device restarts
- No trips data will be erased from the account
- No notifications will be erased from the account
Procedure:
- Locate the Device Reset Hole on the OBD-II device.

Insert a push pin into the Reset hole and hold it for about 3 seconds until the LED 1 (Power) indicator turns red. After turning red, it should go back to solid green.

After the device has reset, you will need to reconfigure the Hotspot parameters.
