When an Android user receives an email with a hyper link and opens it on their Android device, they are typically presented with a choice on their first attempt at opening that link.
As per the below screenshots, the choice provided is between the Android device's regular browser app and any other application that may be somewhat related to the hyper link.
Once the choice of app has been made, it is important to note if they wish to use it only once for this type of hyperlink or always.
If an Android user selects "Always", they will not get prompted again. This means that they will need to either reset their preferences in the device settings or change the preference.
To do this, users should navigate to the following part of Android settings depending on the Android device OS:
1) Settings -> Apps & Notifications -> Advanced -> Default Apps -> Opening Links
- Check what shows up for the respective app and change it if it is set to the browser or reset the defaults for every app
2) Settings -> Apps -> Default apps -> Set as default -> Opening links (if the browser is set to the default one, change it or reset the default settings so that the user is asked when they try to open the link)
